Sing It To My Face

An old and young showdown in three-part harmony.

Sing It To My Face is an intergenerational confrontation on stage laying bare how we really feel about each other in our modern world.

This innovative music theatre project features volunteer local singers and calls out to people of all ages to express their true thoughts about other generations.

Sing It To My Face draws out the sentiments that different age brackets post on their SM feeds, but do not say to each others’ faces.

we found the performance incredibly moving.

Pushing at the edges of both theatre and choral work, the show is powerful and surprising, openly revealing subject matter that affects us all and that most of us never speak about.

Each season is created in collaboration with local singers who form four different aged choirs and perform together in a stylised, theatrical performance of a fully scored choral arrangement.

Sing It To My Face has been performed at Wellington Cathedral of St. Paul as part of their 50th Jubilee Celebrations 2014, Kokomai Festival Wairarapa 2015, Nelson Arts Festival 2015, Festival of Colour Wānaka 2017 and Auckland Town Hall for Auckland Live 2019.
