Albatross Mating Dance

Can humans ever be birds?

A specially commissioned interactive dance performance for the Te Taiao After Dark: Sex and Larvae on Valentine's event at Te Papa.

Two albatross encounter one another in the forecourt of NZ’s national museum. As they begin their extraordinary mating ritual, they teach the audience the movements and steps, culminating in a massive group dance experience. A one off performance we will (probably) never do again.
