What responsibilities do we have as makers when we author controversial work? How do we navigate ourselves and our work with compassion in the midst of strong critical response?
Theatre makers Hayley Sproull (Vanilla Miraka), Alice Canton (White/Other) and Waylon Edwards/William Duignan (Boxed) share experiences they have had when showing theatre work and how they negotiated strong critiques from media, the industry and the public at large. Facilitated by Jo Randerson, the group will also discuss strategies to support each other, and strengthen our practice around sensitive topics.
Feel free to bring something to drink and some snacks to share!
